Just gotta say that Conchita Wurst, the winner of EuroVision 2014; her winning is not just a drag queen with a beard winning. It’s artistic expression demanding people get over their stereotypes, essentially, fuck gender roles and get over it!
Also, EuroVision is a singing competition between European countries. Conchita Wurst represented Austria and the people that voted for her were showing support because Conchita had to deal with countries like Russia threatening to boycott if she was even allowed to compete. Her winning was progressive voters in progressive countries asking oppressive places like Russia to get the fuck over it already!
It’s about stereotypes akin to those who believe Michael Sam will be prancing the football around the football field or act inappropriately in the locker room! No, he’s a fucking football player who happens to be gay! He’s a professional doing his job just like any other person you interact with who happens to be gay.
Yes, some of you freaks are not gonna understand because it’s about you having to face your own stereotypes and prejudices since your little bubble has been burst today! Sadly, those who cannot and, willfully, will not understand will go to bed tonight holding their bible even closer and wake up thumping it even louder!
